Activities at the camp are fun filled and exciting. Bandipur has incredible sighting of tigers and leopards apart from other game and we do our best to show you these in many different ways.

There is no doubt that as far as the wildlife experience goes this is the best that you will get. With game around the cottage, the truly wonderful activities will help you slip away from the daily pressures of city life. The Mangala valley is a combination of fringe bush forests. Ideal places for wildlife to hideaway in the day and fields where the animals come out to feast at night, inviting local ire. Its in the heart of this conflict that we take you. Amazing sightings of elephants, gaur, leopard and even bear and tiger can be had on treks. Most activities need prior intimation.

Safaris – can be pre-booked online at the Forest Office. Both exclusive gypsies and large vans are available for game viewing. Safaris are subject to availability as they are operated by the forest department. Safari’s can be pre-booked at:

Treks – we have some amazing treks that take you through tribal villages and the bush in the buffer regions. You may walk for as long you like, lost in the mystical soul of tribal India. We have a short trek and a long trek.

Bullock Cart Ride – A bullock cart ride through scrub forest and takes you back to a journey that few living today can describe. You have the option of merging this with a picnic lunch. (Rs 950 for a ride that seats 2 people)

Sundowners – In a tranquil setting, with the golden orb setting over the jungles yonder, we will set up a table of snacks and drinks that you can enjoy as the darkness creeps into your very soul. We will walk you through the bush, past a waterhole and set you down on a superb location from where you will see the sun set over the distant hill to the sounds of wildlife awakening to the dark.

Picnic Lunches – Drive, walk or take the camp jeep to an amazing location to have lunch.

Bush Dinners – In dense bush, with the sounds of wilderness permeating the dense undergrowth, a bush dinner over a bonfire will most certainly blow you away. (Rs 599 per person)

Night Walk on the Property – With our experienced trackers, disappear into the night and try to find some nocturnal wildlife.

Barbecues – set up your own barbecue and cook into the evening

Long Treks

The buffer region is large and the valley has some beautiful spots. We have some beautiful routes for you through bush country.

Safari

Bandipur is known for its fabulous density in asiatic wildlife. The park is famous for its tiger, leopard, bear, gaur and elephant sightings.

Sundowners, Bush Dinners & Picnics

Having a meal amidst the wilderness, under the skies and while listening to the sounds of nature is a must. Come dine in jungle style with us!
